CFAES Connect: September 2022

  1. Congratulations to Pat Whittington, BS ’82, for receiving the Josephine Sitterle Failer Award, presented by The Ohio State University Alumni Association to those whose volunteerism has enhanced the quality of student life at the university. 

  2. FSR’s Ask the Expert area is a great place to sit and learn from CFAES Alumni and experts within the agricultural community.  

  3. Every fall, the Ohio 4-H Foundation hosts Celebration of Youth, a fundraising and community fellowship event for adults 21 and over that raises money to support 4-H youth development across Ohio.

  4. Do you have a favorite photo from your time as a Buckeye? Was it taken on the lawn by Howlett Hall or the depths of a lab in the Parker Food Science Building? We want to you to share what your CFAES home looked like to you. Photos submitted will be used throughout the CFAES Advancement website

  5. No matter if it is on the football field or the fields of his family farm, Cade Stover, current ag systems management student, gives it his all! 

  6. Water creates pathways as it moves, and studying that process, and how to make the best of it, is a root of the research by Ryan Winston.

  8. The Farm Science Review, Molly Caren Agricultural Center, Capital Improvement Fund is used to improve FSR overall, buy new equipment, maintenance and upkeep the buildings and FSR grounds. On the farming side, it is used to enhance research and education at Molly Caren Ag Center
