CFAES Connect: November 2018

  1. ASM Club members teamed up to push a hay elevator from a field to a barn.

Recently, students from the Agricultural Systems Management Club teamed up with AgrAbility to lend a hand to Clarence Atkinson and Deborah Mattix, a farm couple in Fredericktown, Ohio.

  2. Dr. Richard Dick (center) works with PhD students.

Plants are capable of amazing things.  One unassuming shrub in Africa has been found to take care of its plant neighbors.

  3. Dean Kress & CFAES students.

Without the partnership of our alumni, donors, friends, and stakeholders, CFAES could not be able to do so much!  We share a message of thanks and best wishes for the holiday season.

  4. The word "Leadership" spelled out in blocks.

Did you know that CFAES offers a wide range of leadership training?  From kindergarten to retirement, we have opportunities!

  5. Rice paddy in Bangladesh

Rising sea levels cause soil changes and the loss of coastal land once used for agriculture.  A recent study co-led by Joyce Chen from AEDE explored how these changes affect migration and economic conditions in Bangladesh.

  6. Dean Cathann A. Kress

Did you miss the Dean’s State of the College? You can still watch it online.

  7. Student working the Forestry Forum's Christmas Tree Sale

Here are some interesting events coming up that we thought you might like.
