The Science of Bar-B-Que

Prepare for summer’s heat this grilling season by learning the basics of Bar-B-Que Science. During this cooking class style event, participants will learn grill safety, methods to prepare beef and pork proteins, and gain experience in matching proper cooking methods to produce delicious meals. Participants will be provided CFAES branded aprons and a full dinner using the meats they prepared during the class.
Location: Animal Sciences Building; 2029 Fyffe Rd, Columbus, OH 43210. Visitor parking is available behind the Animal Sciences Building or in-front of Plumb Hall.
Cost: $15 per person. Please note: Participants are required to sign a waiver. Participants will be around grilling equipment, heat, fire, and also entering the meat lab area. (All participants must be able to walk up and down stairs.)
Menu: Pork chops and skirt steak for fajita tacos with Tex Mex style sides, lemonade and water
