The Trimble Technology Lab is a series of multidisciplinary labs at Ohio State that will enhance teaching, research, and outreach activities in food and agricultural engineering, construction management, and natural resources. The labs will be the first to include Trimble agriculture solutions. The centerpieces of the labs are customized training workstations that simulate the use of Trimble agriculture hardware and software in the classroom environment. This technology will instruct students on technologies such as machine guidance control and steering in the classroom, as well as field leveling and water management systems. The workstations will enable students to interact with technology in the classroom before they begin working with equipment in the field. The equipment and software will be integrated into CFAES curriculum, with a goal to have both labs open during the fall semester 2023.
